Darsdale Farm, Raunds, Northamptonshire. This site is being investigated prior to development, had potential for multi-period settlement activity at the northern end of the development area adjacent to the Iron Age, Saxon and Medieval settlement at Thorpe End. The Historic Environment Record lists a number of finds from all periods in the vicinity of the site, mainly indicating settlement, and from the medieval period industrial activity including quarrying. To the north-west of the development area, on the northern side of a tributary of the Nene River were the sites of the Neolithic Coton Henge, funerary and ritual monument (MNN4284) and a prehistoric settlement dating from Mesolithic to the Bronze Age (MNN2691).
